Instructor-Led Classes include 9 to 36 hours of small-group lessons (up to nine students) that follow a structured syllabus with a live online instructor. 1-on-1 Tutoring pairs you with a dedicated 99th-percentile tutor who builds a fully customized prep plan based on your goals and meets with you for 4 to 36 hours.

Important note: Both the Instructor-Led Classes and 1-on-1 Tutoring packages include access to the Complete Online Prep program, where you’ll complete your practice work between classes or tutoring sessions.

All of these packages are available for SAT Prep and ACT Prep.
Planning to take both? Make sure to save $200 by enrolling in our Dual SAT+ACT Complete Online Prep ($794 → $597)

PrepScholar’s program is 100% all online via our website. You do NOT need to download any software, drive anywhere, or meet in any prep centers. All you need for our program is an internet connection and a modern computer, tablet, or even a smartphone.

The Complete SAT Online Prep program has a baseline of about 40 total study hours, which is the minimum recommended to get the most from the course. For example, if you plan to take the SAT in two months (around eight weeks), we recommend studying about five hours per week.

However, every student learns at a different pace. Some skill lessons may take more than one attempt to master, which can extend the total study time beyond 40 hours. Beyond that, the program includes much more than 40 hours of available content—with thousands of practice questions and detailed lessons, you can spend hundreds of hours learning with PrepScholar.

Our program has supported students preparing intensively over just three weeks as well as those studying gradually for up to two years.

You can use our program just like you use the rest of the Internet: you do NOT need to schedule anything beforehand. Whether it’s 6AM, 4PM, or 11PM, PrepScholar’s program is accessible whenever you like, from anywhere in the world. Work as many hours per week as you’d like, or as few as you’d like. Pause the program whenever you’d like, even in the middle of a lesson or test.

You’ll have 12 months of access to the Complete SAT Online Prep program by default. We also offer a 2-year access option for $577 (regularly $794). This longer plan is ideal for students in grades 9 or 10 who prefer a slower study pace or plan to take the PSAT and SAT multiple times.

PrepScholar’s program includes several tools to help students stay accountable and parents stay informed. The program tracks time studied, skill lessons completed, quiz grades, and practice tests taken. For each skill or lesson, you can see whether it was mastered, assigned for a retake, or downgraded—all available 24/7 from the Progress tab. In addition, automated weekly progress report emails are sent to both parents and students every Monday, summarizing progress from the previous week.

To help students plan ahead and stay consistent, the program also prompts them to create a weekly study schedule and sends reminder notifications to their phones when it’s time to study. Students can still access the program anytime—this is simply a tool to build consistent study habits.)

This happens less often than you might expect, as PrepScholar’s program provides detailed explanations for every practice question. Each explanation breaks down what the question is asking, the steps to reach the correct answer, and why the other choices are incorrect. We believe a question bank is only as good as its explanations.

If you do get stuck, the Complete Online SAT Prep program includes our Genius AI Tutor, which you can ask for help at any time. The Genius AI Tutor uses the Socratic teaching method, guiding you to think through each step rather than simply giving the answer. This helps students not only understand a single problem better but also build lasting skills for similar questions in the future.

The price included is all-inclusive. It includes all materials, fees, and applicable taxes. There are no hidden fees, mandatory surcharges, books, or other items that you need to purchase in addition to the base price you see when you sign up.

No. After 1 year (or 2 years if you’ve purchased the $577 package), your account simply expires. Your credit card or payment method will not be charged again unless you choose to re-enter your payment information when signing in to your expired account.

If you’d like to extend your access for a shorter period, you can email [email protected] for extension options. We offer 3-month ($75), 6-month ($150), and 9-month ($225) extensions.

When signing up, you’ll first choose a login name—this can be either the student’s or the parent’s email address. Next, create a password and enter your payment information; your card will not be charged during the free trial.

Once that’s complete, you’ll have immediate access to the program. You can start learning right away—there’s no manual onboarding or waiting period. Your first steps after logging in are to fill out your student profile (takes under five minutes) and then complete the 60-question diagnostic test, which customizes your SAT Prep plan to your exact needs.
