Before joining the classes: complete your 60-question smart diagnostic test in your Complete Online Prep program. We’ll use this data to personalize your homework assignments between sessions.

Session 1 – PrepScholar’s English section strategy, grammar and usage.

In your first Classes session, you’ll learn PrepScholar’s ACT English section strategy, our tried-and-true method for completing the ACT English section quickly, confidently, and accurately. You’ll learn to pace yourself and work through the passages effectively.

After learning the big section strategies, you’ll learn to apply them as you review the grammar and usage topics tested in the ACT English section, including Punctuation, Agreement, Pronouns, Verb Forms, Comparisons, Word Choice, Idioms, Run-on Sentences, Sentence Fragments, Parallelism, Modifiers, and Wordiness.

Session 2 – English rhetoric, the Top 5 Math strategies, and geometry.

In your second Classes session, you’ll zoom out to the structure and intent questions in the English section. Building on the strategies you learned in your first class, you’ll learn to break down and answer Author Intent, Transitional Logic, Macro Logic, and Formality and Tone questions.

In the second part of this class session, you’ll move on to learn PrepScholar’s Top Five math strategies, the core secrets to answering any math question quickly, accurately, and confidently. These are the strategies that turn even the toughest math problems into simple step-by-step processes.

You’ll then use these strategies as you learn about ACT Geometry, from Coordinate Geometry to Plane Geometry, Solid Geometry, and Trigonometry.

Session 3 – Numbers and Algebra: Statistics, Functions, and More

In your third Classes session, you’ll take on the biggest topics in ACT math: Algebra and Numbers. This class covers everything from statistics and sequences to functions and systems of inequalities. And as always in PrepScholar Classes, you won’t just learn the math topics; you’ll also learn the strategies you need to apply what you learn to real test questions.

Specific topics and skills you’ll learn in this class include Integers, Rational Numbers, Statistics, Probability, Sequences, Operations, Single Variable Equations, Functions, Word Problems, Inequalities, and Systems of Equations.

Session 4 – The PrepScholar Reading Method, Details to Big Picture

In your fourth Classes session, you’ll learn PrepScholar’s proven method for cracking the Reading section, including expert strategies for pacing, breaking down passages, and answering questions quickly and accurately.

After learning the big section strategies, you’ll learn how to tackle the specific skills and topics that appear on the ACT Reading test, including Big Picture, Little Picture, Inference, Vocab in Context, and Author Method questions.

Session 5 – Science: Experiments, Data, and Viewpoints

In your fifth Classes session, you’ll learn all about the Science section, from how to pace yourself and work through the passages to the specific science topics and skills you need to know for the test. We’ll cover the unique methods for efficiently breaking down Data, Experiment, and Viewpoint passages.

This class will also cover all the topics and skills tested in the Science section, including Basic Science, Fact Finding, Interpreting Trends, Calculations, Experimental Design, Hypothetical Changes, Interpreting Experiments, Understanding Viewpoints, and Comparing Viewpoints.

Session 6 – The Essay and Test-day Strategies

The final Classes session is split into two parts. First, you’ll learn about the Essay. We’ll teach you to read and interpret the scenario and viewpoints quickly, create a strong thesis, develop a clear outline, and write a full, focused, and error-free essay within the time limit.

Second, you’ll learn strategies for the week before the test and test day itself. You’ll learn how to keep practicing and stay motivated and calm leading up to the test, and you’ll also learn how to stay focused, manage anxiety, and pace yourself on test day.
